96 Year Old "mobster" Pleads Guilty

A 96 year old "mobster" pleaded guilty to rackets charging and may not face a jail sentence.

Albert “The Old Man” Facchiano has pleaded guilty to racket charges. His lawyers believe that because of his age no jail time will most likely be given.

When I read this I was shocked. I found this story on Feb 28, 2007. I truly couldn't believe what I was reading. Not the fact that he is 96, but the fact that because of his age, there might be a possibility that he wouldn't be doing jail time.

Picture that! If that was the case, people his age will be committing crimes all the time. If this man is sent to house arrest, that is probably what he has been doing for the last ten years anyway. Where is the punishment.

He is a man who is competent to stand trial. He had some health issues, but at that age who doesn't. He comes from a mobster family so whatever money he is fined will be paid in full probably before he even leaves the court room.

Oh well! What can we do though! RIGHT
