Oprah's Real Reason for Not Interviewing Palin

Has the sexist talk show host gone too far?

Oprah Winfrey interviewed Barack Obama earlier this year. All of the world knows where she stands in the Presidential Election. He not only has her vote, but also thousands of dollars in contributions.

Immediately after McCain announced and introduced his choice of Vice President, Oprah let it known that she would not be interviewing Governor Palin.

Of course, not wanting her ratings to drop due to her racism/sexism/partiality, she uses the excuse that she will not let her show be used as a “platform for Presidential debate.” However, it is a little too late for that since she did, in fact, have Barack Obama on her show, not once, but twice.

There would be no intelligent excuse for Oprah's discrimination, even if Barack Obama did have the experience and qualifications needed to be our next President of the U.S.A.

Millions of individuals have vowed to no longer tune in to “Oprah”

One article for the state of Florida: Florida Republican group to boycott Oprah.

In this online Petition with over 1,400 signatures, some are begging Oprah to interview Palin (for human decency reasons) and some wash their hands of Oprah.

It also seems that Sarah Palin isn't the only reason why viewers will discontinue to watch “Oprah”.

If this continues, the once “Most Famous” TV Talk Show Host will soon become the Least Liked with ratings that can possibly have her removed from the air.

I was wondering if she would interview Palin. I guess she as biased as the rest of the biased Media.

Good article, bringing out the truth about all our biased TV personalities..

I won't watch her show again.

Several years ago I was a faithful Oprah viewer. But she has made many bad decision, that is why I stopped watching her. If she was the only show on air, I would sell all my televisions.

I agree with Stacie C. I can't believe that Oprah is falling for this crap of Obama's. But I guess that just goes to show, the apple don't fall too far from the tree, does it?

I will make sure all my friends and family sees this article, thank you M Stokes, for bringing this out in the open.

I do feel that it is her show and she has the right to have whomever she wants to have on the show. However, that also means that viewers have the right not to tune in to it. She insist that she does not want her politics mix with her show. However, like M. Stokes points out...it already has. She had B.O on twice. So it is a lame excuse, but it is still her show and can cover whatever subjects she wants. Another good subject and addressed well.

Oprah is a human being with opinions that may not always be correct, but she's till a human being with opinions. It's pretty obvious that Oprah is being biased, but I seriously doubt 1,400 people will make a difference. She already has a lot of power. People attacked Don Imus for having opinions on his show, but he's still making a comeback.

I loved the article, and Ursula, that is true. But it's like the prayers in our schools. If people don't stand up Together, this country is going to fall flat of it's face.

Why should she interview Palin?
In a nation that glorifies skanks; Britney spears, Anna Nicole Smith, Paris Hilton, etc, Palin has a wonderful set of boobies, a mouth that can swallow a you-know-what and a still useable vertical taco.
Do not need her on TV, period.

Thank you, Monica, for another great article, which I liked very much. Yes, we all know that Oprah is just a human being, like the rest of us, but she should also know that if she gets too far over to one side, her TV audience will say bye bye, which they should, in this incidence. Having B. O. on TWICE, and not having Sarah on at least ONCE definitely says a BUNCH about Miss Oprah!I've never been a fan of hers, but while visiting my son in Chicago back in 2000, he got us tickets to her show (not knowing I was not her fan), and I'd never go to another one of her shows. They treated you like you were suspected criminal. They made you put your purse down while THEY opened it, went through everything in there, took anything "they considered dangerous" like your nail clippers, nail file and telephones, which you didn't get back until the show was over, upon presenting a ticket with a number on it. I thought that was a little much!! So NO, NO, NO, I don't watch Oprah!!!

I never really had any respect for her as a person to begin with. The fact that she interupts everyone that is on her show. Mrs.Palin would not have been able to get a word in. It seems to me that she is very racist. I wonder if she would have let S.P. on if she would have been black???

rby, yes I think if Sarah was black she would have gotten on, but not necessarily gotten to say her piece. In fact I doubt seriously she would have gotten to speak her mind. Oprah is very prejudiced for the blacks and against the whites. I used to like her show way back years and years ago until I began noticing just how prejudiced she is. If I watched her every day, I would never watch her again after she wouldn't let one candidate on and did the other one however. Great work there Ms. Stokes.
