Hello everyone,
Normally I am not big on politics but recently a lot has been going on that I just have to voice my opinion on. Bush has signed new wiretapping laws into effect, and while this may help stop unsavory characters, criminals and terrorists, who's to say it won't be used on ordinary,law abiding, American citizens at a later date?
I believe America needs to keep a close eye on it's leadership so that government powers are not abused. I understand we have a system of checks and balances, but my question is who's watching the watchers? America is a land of unprecedented freedom, we Americans need to make sure it stays that way.
People, make your voices heard and your thoughts and opinions known.
Use wisdom when voting for our leaders, as goes the leadership so goes the country,
I respect law makers and I know laws are there to protect, but recently,law makers have begun making laws that are actually detrimental to society.
A key example is, government officials getting permission and killing off certain endangered species. Whatever happened to wildlife reserves? How can Bush have the audacity to OK the killing of species like the gray wolf knowing they're already endangered?
Wake up people, and President Bush, Have a Heart !
