U.S.A. is undoubtedly the world's super power, with its annual military spending way above other countries. But other countries are catching up too.
The most competitive one will be China, which is highly sought to be the next world's super power. With the Russian government slowly retreat from the stage of the newest military inventions, deficits in trade balance. The Chinese government fully take advantage over it.
Over the last two decades China bought military weapons ranging from airplanes, nuclear submarines, and tanks. Chinese government invented their own modern jet fighter plane J-11, which is a more complicated version than the Russian airplane Mig-32. J-11 is equivalent to F-22 one on one in terms of equipment, and the outcome of the battle will solely depend upon how good the pilot is. Many argue that Chinese army are poorly equipped and their weapons mostly have the technology equivalent in the 60s.
However, China's main focus is to raise its standing in the world through economy rather than military, military funding are mostly spend on research and development than mass producing. In times of crisis, it is highly likely that China will produce their newest weapon as they have readily available factories and labors. However, there is good news for us as Chinese people are non-aggressive and focuses narrowly on peace. Many people doubt that, but with a in depth look at their history many realized why gunpowder was first invented in China but all they did with it is blowing up hills for mining and fireworks.
Also Chinese government has a policy of never establish a military base outside of its own country. So China will less likely to become the world's military superpower, and more likely to be the world's economy superpower. We can see that right now as a small drop in stock exchange in Hong Kong made a small tremor around the world include America.
