Exploited: Innocence Lost

Exposing the most morally bankrupt billion dollar industry in the world.

The pornography industry is a billion dollar a year business.
Each year it suckers in thousands of people, it is a morally bankrupt industry and cares nothing about the people it exploits.
It is an industry whose goal is seduction and it is often the cause for the destruction of relationships and families.
I believe we as a society need to stomp out this "vice industry".
Lust and sexual immorality bring only destruction.

Some experts believe 30% of divorces stem from one of the spouses' (usually the husband's) addiction to pornography. Further, teenagers these days are getting seduced into this dark world more and more. Since we are speaking statistically, it is believed about 45% of teenage males and 20% of teenage females have had some exposure to the world of pornography before they reach the age of 18, this is a tragedy.

It is also believed that at least 15% (though this figure may be growing) of teenage pornography addicts carry their addiction into adulthood, while many other addicts have their first exposure to pornography as adults.

For many it is like a drug.
If you know someone with such an addiction, get them help immediately, the destruction and corruption of our families and our youth needs to cease.

The sex industry has been around since the beginning of time because it is how we procreate. Sex is a normal healthy bodily function. It is people that are the abusers.

Jupiter, it is one of the hidden addictions. Because it is in the closet many are not aware of the damage that it causes, then there are those who feel it is just a healthy release for a normal sex drive. I've witnessed some of the damage, and the trauma caused to victims in it's wake, but until people own up to the harm it causes, they cannot find help. When I worked in the prison they had counseling for porn addicts, but it was few and far between that anyone owned up to having a problem. I know a counselor who works with this problem.

Healthy sex is wonderful but the abusers are another story. The damage they cause is horrendous. We all should know the difference.

Wow, Jupiter, you love your logical fallacies.

You have "quoted" experts without citing them. Where's the proof? Without it, this article is useless and naive. You seem to be attacking something just to attack it. Also, you throw the word "immoral" around fairly easily. I find that people that do that very seldom have any reason for speaking up.

The proof you want E. Michael is in the facts, sexual addiction and deviance is on the rise and divorce rates are higher than ever before, so what you are calling logical fallacies are in fact far from it

Right and wrong are as clear as black and white E. Michael, there is no "Middle ground" people like to think there is middle ground because they want to be less accountable but in fact we are held accountable for all that we do and people's opinions are of no relevance, truth and morality stand firm and uncompromising, the standard is already set, tolerating immorality is unacceptable and those that tolerate it are just as guilty as those who practice it, that sounds harsh but it's the truth of the matter.
