With the recent remarks and subsequent firing of a barely noteworthy campaigner of Hillary Clinton the world is reminded of how ignorant and pathetic people can be. Not that anyone needed reminded that racial loathing is as strong and disgraceful as ever.
So the mere mention that Mr. Obama is only successful because of his skin by this person became big news. First of all why we acknowledge these things is suspicious to me. Why do I say this?
The obvious point first is that simply put if every "black" voter backed Obama and "whites" didn't he would have no chance. So how much of a impact does his race push his support up? There is certainly more haters that he is a "black" candidate than there are supporters. I don't think I am going out on a limb there either. I wish I was wrong but we all know this guy has an uphill fight just because of his skin. But there is another reason these racial stories smell of unnecessary stories.
Because quite frankly I guarantee, you could go to a percentage of politicians at any given moment and get an inflammatory remark in the drop of hat. There is a sector of these people that are more arrogant and dumber than you could possibly imagine. So any of those people of all backgrounds could give you and earful of "newsworthy" statements. So why is this particular one, by the campaigner I am purposely not mentioning by name, any different?
Because it is about putting Clinton in a bad light and not about improving and exposing racial bologna. Now I couldn't care any less about Clinton or any politician but this is what irks me about these reports.
These stories of racism are about stirring up contention and/or hatred and not about the truth. The older I get the more I am convinced that there are people of all "races" that want and desire hatred between people to make money. Do you ever notice when a hate crime occurs the representation of the warring factions pull up to the scene in limousines and where $1000 suits? Do you ever notice the amount of money hate organizations collect by fanning the flames of racism?
Why don't the rest of us stand up and say "that is enough?" Or maybe I am the naive one and do not realize that almost everyone is a fraud and deep down is on board with the racism? I just don't get it anymore.
The fact that we make such a big ordeal about our so called heritage, culture or "race" is pure nonsense. People abroad are really not that different. And I am bewildered why we pretend that we are. That is not to say there is not a variety of things that people prefer or enjoy. What I am saying is loud and clear. All human beings have the same general everyday concerns and nucleus of interests. I dare anyone to give me an extreme contrast of any culture.
What nation or group doesn't put family and social concerns as important? What populous doesn't get up everyday to care for the practical needs of life? All tribes and tongues have similar set of universal laws. The list goes on and on.
Well that is my useless rant. Because the more I think about the more I realize people want it this way. People want to label themselves as different and superior than others who are doing the same thing everyday that they are. And people who have been oppressed can't move forward and instead want to manufacture a name for themselves. And those who are deemed having an advantage want to live in a fantasy that oppression doesn't happen.
I'll shut up now. Not many want real change in the way we treat our brothers and sisters of the human race do they?
