Obama, You Scare Me

You say you will lead us through change. This is a frightening thought when one witnesses the framework from which you stand.

I am visibly shaken to the core when I view the information and articles written about and from the Obama campaign which includes thoughts and opinions that Obama personally expresses on camera. To say that I am concerned is to put it mildly. I am sad that Obama feels the need to exploit the Bible, challenge American patriotism and honor, and uses his esteemed academic prowess to insult the integrity of this formidable and phenomenal nation. Yes, Obama you are extremely smart and clever...but, you have not pulled the wool over every American's eyes. You say you stand for us. You say you will lead us through change. This is a frightening thought when one witnesses the framework from which you stand.

You want to give free medical insurance to all (this is a benchmark to socialized medicine). You also want to decrease premiums for those who pay for medical insurance (who will subsidize this government? businesses? somebody has to pay). You have so many "costly" plans and programs to give back to the poor and middle class such as increasing the funds for the federal workforce training program and doubling the funding for the manufacturing extension partnership. You also want to address infrastructure by creating a NAR Bank by supplementing it with 60 billion dollars over 10 years and creating a national network of public/private incubators by investing 250 million dollars per year. The list of your "good economic deeds" goes on and on! I ask that before you do all this...could you please explain to the American public how you plan to network all this SURPLUS of FUNDS to the American people without increasing our budget deficit or depleting other national and defense resources. Eventually, we will all see higher consumer taxes or product costs. Nothing is free in this world...yours or mine. We all pay a price for what is mistakenly given for nothing. Your ideas to jumpstart the economy to the tune of 50 billion dollars is a windfall that few can profit from. Where do you exact to capitalize on the economics of rebates that would be taken from...say, our government's surplus of funds?????? This Robin Hood theory has been tried time and time again. I will grant you this, your thoughts on helping our senior citizens (you didn't stipulate an age???? 80, 90???!!!!!!) is a wonderful proposal. Your ideas on national defense I will quantify with two words disturbing and alarming.

You might presumably stand on the pretext of being an American, but you do not stand on the principles of our nation and our founding fathers. You give false promises with counterfeit dollars. I believe that you have convinced yourself that your words lend credence to what we want to hear vs the reality of what is and can be done. You have not proven yourself as a leader, a man who places the welfare of others before those of his own (excluding family), and someone who sees one amalgamated nation...."The United States of America". Unlike McCain, you have not proven yourself worthy of our confidence. There are numerous question marks surrounding your life, your goals, your accomplishments, and those you associate with.

To this I add the unmistaken falsehood of Michelle Obama's lack luster words that emanated from her mouth during the DNC. After reviewing her senior thesis and contemplating her terminology and evaluation of our society, it concerns me greatly that she views America as a "white vs black" nation. Her internal struggle at Princeton wherein she "felt isolated based on her color" (her words) is a culmination of her own internal struggle of self worth. This is a society wherein one can chose to either set up barriers or parameters that exclude or include every person regardless of race or religion. In her presumptive attitude she and she alone has set up parameters that were self inflicted. I, for one, am proud of the person I have become. I do not judge others based on their color, religion, education, or any other matter. I have friends of every color or religion. I accept each person's right to express their opinion and choose those whom they wish to associate with. I do, however, realize that some fight internal battles that cause them to react to me as an enemy not as a friend. Therefore, I retreat knowing that nothing I say or do will change their attitude or personal cultural warfare from within. We must each battle internal demons of our upbringing...some choose to change while others allow it to cement our attitude and future. Each person we meet brings a special link that affords us the opportunity to face the challenges of tomorrow and the joys of today. I cannot believe that Michelle Obama feels that because of her color she has restrictive rights, privileges, and that anyone not of the black race is out to quantify segregation and spur dissension. I will not insult their integrity, attitude, beliefs, or philosophies. I will however, make a choice not for President of our wonderful nation based on what I read, hear, and see. It is, at least I think so, quite obvious who we need to support...John McCain.

Thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion. God bless all of you and may your choices in life be those that reap you the rewards that He has intended for you.

first of all, Obama never supported "exploiting" the bible...religion and government are and should always be separate entities. Palin is scary for praying about pipelines...on paying for the budget...he's going to cut programs that waste money and don't work, tax people making over 250,000 more while decreasing taxes for 95% of working families, end the 10 billion dollar/ month (AKA about 120 billion/year)war in Iraq, and his economic plan will create millions of new jobs through renewable energy investments and infrastructure investments, which will boost the economy and inevitably increase tax revenue. On your accusation of Obama not proving himself worthy of the American people's confidence, you skipped the facts that McCain voted against the equal pay for equal work act, the women agianst violence act (authored by Joe Biden), against a Martin Luther King holiday, and finally, the McCain/Palin ticket has a decade LESS experience than the Obama/Biden ticket. Obama has 4 years US senate, 8 years Illinois state senate; Palin has 6 years mayor of 5,000 people where she left the place in debt, McCain has 25 years US senate, and Biden has 36 years US senate...anyways, there's not much else to go on because most of the claims in this article are flowery words without facts or substance. If you want to see exactly where Obama and McCain stand, visit their web sites...each have an issues section...the Obama web site gives the option for the "blueprint for change" which is a gazillion page report detailing everything he plans to do for every issue...check it out...also, most of McCain's claims have landed on factcheck.com for being false...Obama will not raise taxes, etc. Anyways, for an issue this important that will decide the future for over 300 million people and the world, a little in-depth research into the candidates' positions is sorta important...........Obama 08!

First of all, YOU scare me by rambling and twisting facts that you apparently are not versed in. Take the time to review his policies (PS..they are on his campaign website!). You are totally blinded by your own ideology. You are apparently of the mindset formulated by the calf path of the mind fixation...blindly following a man whose ambiguous rhetoric about policies and government spending are established on a Robin Hood principle and political lies. If you were half way intelligent you would understand that THERE IS LIMITED FUNDS available for all the policies he INTENDS to implement. You lend yourself well in your prose indicating you do not have a grasp of his policies. You really believe Obama's intent to cut our defense budget to subsidize his illusive spending DURING THIS TIME is not going to have serious repercussions. I also note that you never once mention Michelle Obama and her philosophies on her feelings concerning racism and that this is solidly a white supremacy society. I TAKE OFFENSE to that...Serious offense...I believe we are all God's children regardless of our skin color. You exemplify a Knee-jerk reaction supporting Obama's ill conceived policies, and a climate of "rule-by-fear" that Bush tried to create during his term. Do I agree with the war...No; do I vote based on a part name....No; do I vote for someone who has EXPERIENCE....Yes. Obama does not have 4 years of Senate experience...I want to use your calculator when I balance my check book!! I also do not see McCain associating with people who want to tear this country apart. Oh, by the way, I pray all the time for God's guidance and comfort in good and bad times. You are probably one who believes that Christianity is an idea of the past. Yes, Obama did exploit the Bible and chose to interpret passages with his own pearls of wisdom to define his policies before the Senate. You cannot deny what you hear regardless of the venue...Obama's OWN words and ridiculously arrogant attitude while comparing the Bible to government policies is horrendous. I don't know why I bothered to respond...check your grammar...it's as incorrect as your thoughts and fictional beliefs. The fear that this uncertain time is real, and I am concerned, and I am worried about my future and that of MY COUNTRY! Do not for one minute think that I agree with the policies of this current government. Yet, I do know that I would not have gone on vacation like the Democrats, not forced the issue of a debate like Obama, BUT I would be there in Washington working on a solution AND PRAYING that GOD guide me and others to help resolve this financial and economic peril that our country faces. What would you be doing????? BY THE WAY THE OBAMA campaign web shut my blog down...how's that for freedom of speech. I was not entitled to my views and instead of a fair and balanced discussion...his supporters chose to rant and rave on paper using inappropriate language. This is when I knew the fanaticism of "some" people goes well beyond logic.

Use the word, ANYWAY...not anyways.

McCain 08'
