You know I get all these forwarded e mails all the time about supporting our troops, praying for our troops, etc. I've been praying for years now! I am all for supporting our troops but what about getting out and shouting to the powers that be to STOP THE WAR NOW! I think that is the best way to support our troops.....bring them home. We have been lied to by our government.....again. That fact must be accepted whether the Republicans or the former Bush supporters want to admit it or not. That includes all those who would dare to admit that they still support him. We were duped into supporting a war that was totally pointless and unnecessary. I said "no war" from the very beginning....I said that I was dead against any war in Iraq. A lot of people said the same thing, but nobody listened. Instead the guys on the hill and those who had their hands in the pockets of big oil made up all kinds of false intelligence (Intelligence, boy what an oxymoron that surely is) Supposed intelligence to prove to the American public that Iraq was a major threat to our very existence.
The truth is this: Our own leaders are a threat to our very existence! I am sorry and sad to say it, but it is the truth. I haven't picked up a sign in protest in many years. I am about to give away my age, but I haven't done that since the Vietnam war era. I never thought our country would be that stupid again.....but guess what? I was wrong. If John McCain gets elected I swear I will be convinced that the majority of voting Americans have an IQ of about 50. How ignorant does one have to be to understand that another G.W. is all that McCain is. I don't care if he was a POW, I don't care about his service record at all. I know that he is in favor of continuing the war at all costs. Well, we have heard that old saying all our lives "at all costs", but in this case the cost could be the demise of our country and the collapse of our economy in it's entirety. Hey, people, remember the Great Depression?
Remember the old adage "if we refuse to learn from the past we are condemned to repeat it". Wise up all you people our there who are afraid to vote for a black man or a white woman, all those who are afraid to vote for a man whose middle name is Hussein.....It's time to step up and admit the failures of this administration and the huge mistake in re-electing such an incompetent boob. I didn't vote for him so it's easy for me to say that! Go out there and vote for an end to the war and a return to our freedom in this country and the restoration of our constitutional rights as US citizens. I wonder if even half of the voting public really knows how many of our individual freedoms have been usurped since the institution of the Patriot Act? I doubt it. Well, I had better stop now before I have a total blow out. I get so angry when I think of all the lies...
