Why is Paris Hilton today's youth role model? That is the question we should all
be answering. A poll was done recently and more than half of all young women and
teens say they look up to Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and the Lindsey Lohans of
the world.
Should Paris Hilton really be a role model? I think none of the above
mentions are nothing to model your life after. A child star slowly losing her mind,
a promiscious red head teen from a broken home who acts and sings from time to time,
and a billionaire brat who was born set for life and has nothing to do but drink,
party, and shop.
Although it may sound nice far more exciting than what some young
women might call their lives but if we look a little more closely it's very easy to
see these are all sad lives to lead. No true love, no security, no loving family, no
close friends, no warm homes to go to, no peace of mind, and no real happiness. All
they have is fame which fades and money which you cannot take with you to the grave.
Paris Hilton has the basic things all young women desire like bein thin and popular,
having money to shop on a whim, being considered sexy, having the authority to treat
any one you don't like like crap and no one questions you. Stay out all night partying
freedom to go where you want with who you want. But, life isn't an episode of "Sex in
the City" life is a complexity of simple joys. And today's youth is following the
wrong role model. They are following the path all young women don't to go... worn out,
reputation gone, alcoholic, with a criminal record. And there is only one billionaire
heiress all the young women modeling after her won't have the millions to clean up,
cover up, and make up the damage done with that kind of life lived.
A judge sentenced Paris Hilton to 45 days in county jail Friday for violating her
probation, putting the brakes on the hotel heiress' famous high life.
She was sentenced at the Century Regional Detention Center, Los
Angeles County's jail house for women just south of downtown in Lynwood.
Like other high-profile Los Angeles County inmates O.J. Simpson, Robert Blake,
Robert Mitchum, Sirhan Sirhan and Charles Manson Hilton will be segregated from the
general population for her own safety, living in a one- or two-person cell.
If there is one bit of advice I could give to all the young women modeling after
Paris Hilton it would be:"High School is only 4 year and after that is when your real
life begins. Its so much more to life than being one of the mean girls. Its so much
to experience and to love don't waste your time one earth following a path that wasn't
meant for you. Be yourself and good things will come."
