One evening (late night), I happened to be watching what I thought was a typical ad promoting Senator Obama for president. Well, it turned out to be a thirty minute ad with clips from town meetings, public speeches, and interviews with supporters of this man. I was amazed at the content and found myself again wanting to get out and campaign even harder to get this man into the White House.
Just by watching him speak to the local people what looked liked small town America, I sensed the audience really getting into and believing what he was saying. The connection was awesome even as older generation citizens gave their undivided attention.
I was touched also by the many young people who were interviewed in Springfield, IL who came out in 12 degree weather to hear his announcement seeking the office of President of the United States. They were so enthused and pumped ready to start handing out flyers and knocking on doors just to get the word out.
It also occurred to me that since this ad was so long, how much money had been donated to his campaign because I am sure it cost a pretty penny. This indeed again confirms that there is a belief by all peoples of all races, ethnicities, marital status, party affiliation....and the list goes on. They believe in a new America where we can show the world by example that we are strong and have a strong leader to back it up.
