In America we have the freedom of speech, we have the freedom of the press, we have the freedom of religion. All of these freedoms we talk about, we're proud of, and we use, but there is another freedom that we so often take for granted, and that's the freedom to dream.
This freedom allows America's children to wake up in the morning and know the world is theirs, to know that no one can set there limits for them, and to know that what ever they imagine, they can do.
There are so many countries in the world today who do not have this freedom. As Patrick Henry said “give me liberty or give me death', because of evil dictators all these people have ever known is death, so if it takes a war to give them liberty, then war is what needs to happen. And if through that war a child gains hope then that war is validated.
We are entering a new age, an age in which terrorism is a big problem. It's hard to take poisoned water and extract the poison. And it's just as hard to take a nation ruled by terror and extract the evil, especially when we cannot always see what we're trying to get rid of. But it needs to happen.
We have been given a wonderful gift. The gift of freedom, and now it is the time to share that gift, to give others what we have enjoyed for so long. The cost of war is great, but I believe the blessings that come from freedom are greater. To me, freedom is worth the cost.
