What is a terrorist? It turns out that in today’s vernacular a terrorist is any adversary of the United States. Ponder this if you will: In Vietnam we fought the North Vietnamese (Viet Cong). In the Second World War we battled three nations: Italy, Japan, and Germany. Following the chronology backwards we encountered Mexico, ourselves, and the once almighty British, twice… so, what is the underlying common thread here? In every war we knew whom we were fighting. Their stance and position was defined by the very mention of their country, and on top of that country stood a flag.
Why haven’t we seen any unified flags since we started fighting this war five years ago except our own? It’s because we’re fighting an invisible enemy. Stop and ask yourself who our clear cut opponent is, now that we’ve dragged Iran, North Korea, Lebanon, Syria, and of all places Somalia back into this rapid trip down the global drain. In complete actuality we are fighting World War III right now, and we don’t even know it.
Our man in charge, Mr. Bush, has spilled red wine all over our nation’s brand new white carpet. He’s the man who’s ruining it for everyone, and the only silver lining is, we’re letting him do it. Remember that proverbial clichéd phrase? Burn me once, shame on you; burn me twice, shame on me… How many times has our President scorched our nation as a whole; about ninety?
Radical nationals, the majority of whom were from Saudi Arabia found there way to Afghanistan to culture themselves on a religion shrouded in violence. They devised a heinous plan, which our President was briefed on and did nothing, and then put that plan into action that early fall day of 2001. We all held our breath and waited to see how our man in charge would react. And what did he do? He attacked Iraq?
That’s not like shooting the messenger, that’s like shooting the messenger’s horse. And it’s not like robbing Peter to pay Paul. It’s like robbing Jesus to pay the blind man that he just cured. It makes no sense…
Taking all of this prefaced information into account, let us ask ourselves one final time, “who are we fighting?” We are fighting, “the terrorists.” And who are the terrorists? --Who the hell knows?
Every general who was ever educated in military tactics knows that fighting a war on two fronts is extremely difficult, and sometimes almost impossible… At this moment, January 25, 2007, we our fighting a war on six fronts… and we are being led by a man who dodged his own draft. Let’s give ourselves a hand.
To our future,
A concerned citizen
