As the Arab world yet again rises in power, certain terrorist groups such as Al Qaeda are taking a stand against the invading west. This period of time we are in right now, where Christians are once again coming to the Crusader stats, could be called a second era of crusades.
After the Crusades long ago, Muslims dominated the Middle East because the Christian invaders were too weak for Muslim armies. Today, this is happening again, but the West has a slight advantage. This advantage may be the cause of terrorist groups springing up around the Middle East. Although each group has they differences, they all believe in one mission: to be free of the invading West.
The USA seems to be taking a lead in trying to disband these terrorist organizations, but they have had minimal success because new Muslim converts are appearing everywhere and the terrorist groups seem to get stronger. With all of these new people, the West can never be sure who exactly to target. Even with that difference, all Christians of the West are banding together to fight the Middle East, which almost acts like one country.
There is no surprise to why Osama bin Laden and his Al Qaeda members see themselves as Arab knights fighting for their independence 900 years ago. The Crusades are happening again, and the two bands of people, Christian and Muslims are clashing just like they did 900 years ago.
