As everybody on the East Coast of the United States should know by now, on Sunday afternoon on July 27, 2008, a diminutive “pseudo-tycoon” named Clark Rockefeller suddenly abducted his 7-year old daughter, Reigh Storrow “Snooks” Boss during a supervised parental visit in Boston's Back Bay. On the face of it, somewhat disturbing stuff when a young child is kidnapped and whisked away in a “black SUV-type vehicle”, the social worker supervising the visit being dragged for several feet while trying to hang on as the SUV sped away. Not a good scene. But let's look at this story which has been unfolding over the past five days and let's see if we can figure this out.
This newly-evolving saga is quickly approaching the point where this tale should enchant a society where, twins are born in France and some magazine pays $10,000,000 for an exclusive for their “official first photos”. Are the Brangelina's THAT INTERESTING and noteworthy to command this prominence in our lives? I guess so, because the magazine is relying on the supposition that lot's of people will buy their rag to see these pics. Well, along the lines of that type of thinking, wouldn't people want to see the exclusive pictures and read the story of how Clark Rockefeller is apprehended and “Snooks” is saved? I say yes. I say the solution to this caper REQUIRES that the many thousands of people who care to find out what's going on with Britney Spears, pay very close attention to what is going on here.
So let's look at what's happened to date. No use spending too much time reciting the history of Clark Rockefeller, his alleged wife Sandra Lynn Boss and their adorable daughter Reigh. The bottom line to their past is this was an unusual, eccentric, clouded and screwed-up relationship that produced a handsome child. Is Clark married to Sandra? Nobody can find any documents that support the notion that they are, who knows and who cares. That won't help to solve the current mystery.
Moving to present time, Clark runs off with his daughter in the middle of the day, with the initial assistance of a hired driver, and vanishes into thin air. He is driven in an SUV to the Massachusetts General Hospital (less than a mile from the abduction site) and then takes a cab to the Boston Sailing Club at Lewis Wharf, a journey of approximately 1 mile from the hospital. There he gets into the privately-owned vehicle of an acquaintance he has met at the sailing club. For the grand fee of $500.00 the sailing club co-member agrees, with no apparent thought as to what might be really going on, to drive Clark and Snooks to New York City.
So, in summary, we have Clark Rockefeller snatching his daughter from under the nose of a trained social worker who is supervising his parental visit with his daughter. We see Clark heave his daughter into a hired SUV that pulls up in front of the park where the visit is taking place. That activity notwithstanding, the livery driver then proceeds to take Clark less than a mile to MGH, even though and in addition to everything else, he has just had a social worker jump on his vehicle and be dragged down a busy street in the middle of Boston. Clark takes a cab to a sailing club, and upon his arrival, Clark and Reigh get into a car driven by an acquaintance, Aileen Ang, age 30 and known to Clark; and together they all drive to New York City. Pretty amazing stuff, don't you think.
My initial question is what were the livery driver and sailing club co-member thinking? They claim to simply be “innocents” seduced by the aura of dealing with a “Rockefeller” and the illusion of riches and high-society notoriety that must have driven the seduction. Huh? This is nonsense. These people aren't pure idiots. Maybe greedy idiots better describes them. $500.00 to drive some weirdo and his daughter to New York City on a Sunday afternoon? I don't think so, at least not being “innocent” to the truth of what was really going on. I think the authorities might want to take another look at what Aileen Ang, the 30-year old sailing club acquaintance, was really paid. Same thing with the livery driver, whose name has not been released but is said to be “cooperating with the authorities”. I bet he is. There's no question in my mind that this guy was paid lots to drive to the park at a specific time, come to a screeching halt and wait while Clark hauls his daughter to the waiting vehicle, then roars off with someone hanging onto his bumper. I can easily understand how something like this occurrence could be misunderstood by the driver, right? WRONG!!!
