It has been said that over the years our political system has become unlike what our founding father wished for it. When George Washington and John Adams and all of the other great men came together to make our country something great, I do not believe that they had even imagined it possible for our government to be the way it is.
In this election I hear more about whose bashing who than what the candidates are really about. Personally I would like to hear something about the candidates, not what church they belong to or any of that. I hope that I am not alone when I say that all I want is a honest presidential candidate.
I don’t think I can remember the last time I heard a positive thing in the news about politicians and their politics. All the news ever has to report anymore is on the negative side of things, which perhaps is due to our nation being more interested in the bad than the good.
Can you honestly tell me that if George Washington was around today that he would be even the slightest bit happy about what our country has come to? I don’t know about you but I’m ready for change, I want a president that can say that things are bad and it’s not going to be easy to fix. I want someone who doesn’t just promise programs but someone who puts what they are talking about to work. Maybe I’m living in a delusional world, but is there anyone out there that can improve our faith in politics?
