With all the conspiracy theories and world domination threats coming into being, I was just thinking after watching the movie "They Live" a dramatization of events of alien invasion and corrupt power struggles that want to take over the planet and make all inhabitant of the earth subservient to their wishes.
My thoughts after seeing one character, “who went along,” was “What if you were one of the ones to go along with the heinous programs of today's new society?” As he said in the film, “Everyone wants the good life, they can provide it, if we just go with the program, who wouldn't want to have it all, power money, fancy cars, the whole “shebang.”
So say you did give up your freedom for a government ran society? A world disaster occurs and suddenly it's Marshall Law across the land. The government tells you that you have to submit to random searches to make sure you are who you say you are. Everything you own must be put in their control for the common good of the country, and you could never have children unless told to do so.
Cameras report your every action and activity and technology has your television spying on you even when it's off. Cash is irrelevant since you have the “chip” and now you just give a thumb print or retina scan when you go to purchase something.
Robotics has reached the stage of sentient biological simulations of human-like servant replicated beings, who are indistinguishable between human and robot, whose main purpose while serving, is to quietly observe.
If you are upper echelon material or in a place of high business, government organization, political position, or scientific profession, you have probably been put high on the list of important and productive individuals who can do well for the “system” and you are allowed special gratuities for yourself and those under your personal umbrella of protection.
Since you are needed by the great organization, you are approached to do more and get more. You go along because life becomes so much better with more acquisition. You feel powerful, above and set apart from the riff-faff of society that is so frequently in the news these days. Those who dissent about the government and have no real place in it. Then you are slowly allowed information that tells the truth behind who is in control and their ultimate plans for the planet.
At first you are appalled. Shocked and scared you at first want out. Then you find there is no out, you either are in, or you are dead, or worse, used for experimentation.
At first you call upon your convictions, your upbringing to do the right thing. You know it is wrong to go along with a devious plot to control people and subvert those who are said to be lesser humans. Inside you know that all people are equal, just because they are people, right? But this is for the better good of all, they'll see that too, right?
It's Not So Bad, Is It?
You are given a raise; more than you could imagine your job is worth. The key to the proverbial executive washroom is finally yours. Your children are given scholarships to the finest schools and the elite clubs that you once dreamed of joining have suddenly started asking for you membership.
You begin to believe that locking up individuals, who don't contribute to society is OK. People who have no way or direction should be directed by those who know better in facilities where they can learn with others of their same level. Exploring their gene structures and intelligence will improve them and make them more like what is acceptable in the new society. When you turn in your friends who have radical ideas, it is okay because the state will “fix them.” They could become like you, affluent and with a place in “the order” of things.
As one of the “chosen” you find that you have to over look little atrocities like mass genocide, control of small countries and duping ignorant people for slaughter or use as drones in the keeping of the order of the greater common good.
Because some of the species that hold ownership with the enlightened humans also feed on those same human species, an eye must be also turned when thinking of the masses that are aligned for sacrifice as mere sustenance. Sanctioned by the government sponsorship programs to keep the balance of the order in line.
In other words you let others less like you, nonproductive people be experimented on, used and eaten in order to keep from being eaten. Sub countries can be sacrifices because they really don't count as people do they? The ignorant never know what's happening to them anyway. They do what they are told when they go to the doctor and take those chip laden flu shots.
