White House Battle Royale

We want change, but won't do what is needed to truly bring about it. So it is more or less about my irritation with political lines and those who keep those walls erect and firm.

I’ve gotten to the point that I really don’t care who gets in to the White House. I’m so stomach sick of having to watch as they battle each other to lead our nation. Sure, I’d care more if I believed they’d support the good ideas of the left, the right, and the middle. But time has shown over and over that they just don’t. Why haven’t we elected a President who thinks from all sides without major party bias? Every time we get a new President into office the very same things rise up: “The President keeps blocking the (Republican/Democratic) bills and only recognizes the ideas of his own party.” Well, we’d get rid of that monotonous bell tone if we’d just go ahead and elect a man or woman who fails to bleed either elephant red or donkey blue. I guess, in an interesting way, he or she should bleed purple; independent of any party, while still reaching out to both for instruction and guidance. A leader should be willing to lead the best of both worlds, while condemning the worst without fear of retaliation.

Every year we fear the opposing party and constantly point fingers at them with closed minds and angry hearts and wonder why there is an Independent on the ticket; their candidate never wins anyway. My question I pose is, why not? We wouldn’t have to fear the opposing party because he or she wouldn’t be an opposing party. No more would we be angry because our party lost or happy because it won for four years. Instead there would be ups and downs for our particular party throughout the year; sometimes the President siding with the party of our choice, sometimes siding with the other, and at other times siding with both the left and the right, or siding with neither at all.

But instead we’ll have yet another President elected into office because of how much money one puts towards one’s campaign. Why, in America, do we always turn to those with money? These are people that are often backed by corrupt organizations, oil companies, and personal interest groups that are interested only in what they can get out of their candidate getting into office. Our Presidents always claim to be for the people. “I am the people.” “I will work for you, the American People.” “I am a man of the people.” I say, prove it! You got to where you are by money, yet a good portion of the American people can barely keep their homes. You say you hear our cries for help when financial burdens chokehold our pennies and dimes, but the only reason you have heard our screams is because we have had to raise our voices to the heavens for help; your private jets have simply gotten in the way. You wish to shut us up so that you can go back to enjoying quiet trips to your overly lavished parties. The truth is this; the only time you are concerned for us is when it benefits you to be concerned. Alligator tears are on command and a sign of true evil, while pure heart-twisted tears rise up from years of hurting for the people and the pains faced by those people in this world. A true President would be the kind that has been rolling over and over in his or her mind about how to fix the problems logically and effectively before he or she even began thinking of running for the presidency.

In conclusion, I would like to bring up how everyone is demanding some sort of a change… I’m curious then why we have not looked seriously at the men and women without a party bias? Why not look at those without over expanded checking accounts and little black books full of all the wrong numbers? That kind of presidential candidate, my fellow Americans, would be that ‘some sort of change’ that you are all looking for. A change, I believe, that would be for the better!
