Americans should wake up and see that the "New Generation" of Senator Obama is already unfolding itself by deserting our Israeli allies! With Pres. Carter's visit to Hamas, one of our deadliest enemies! Whatever happened to our creed about never negotiating with terrorists? The former Democratic President who supports Obama is performing his dastardly duties dealing with terrorists while America's attention is on the Democratic race.
According to Dalia Namari of Associated Press, Carter also laid a wreath at the grave of Yasser Arafat, the former president hugged Nasser Shaer, a senior Hamas politician! Shaer is considered a leading member of the Islamic militant group's pragmatic wing.
Carter has even criticized Israel and the White House and has urged that both stop isolating the militant group. The U.S. has also expressed displeasure at Carter's overtures to Hamas, an Islamic group responsible for the deaths of some 250 Israelis in suicide bombings and labeled a terrorist organization by both countries. Carter is to meet Khaled Mashaal, the group's exiled leader, in Damascus, Syria, on Friday.
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is not meeting with Carter during his visit, and the only Israeli leader to host him, President Shimon Peres, scolded Carter for his planned meeting with Mashaal.
Critics say also say engaging Hamas will undermine moderate Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas as he tries to make peace with the Jewish state. Abbas is in a bitter rivalry with Hamas, which routed his forces in the Gaza Strip last year and seized control of the area.
Is this the so called "New Generation" at work under our noses? Are they planning on deserting our greatest allies and giving in to terrorists? When asked for comments, President Carter said he does not discuss closed meetings. Why? What's the big secret? Think about the Democratic Party wanting to abandon Iraq which would cause total chaos and millions killed in ethnic cleansing. Now they are secretly dealing with terrorists. What's next? Forgiving Osama Bin Laden for his actions on 9/11?
If the Americans don't wake up soon and realize we are being sabotaged without knowing it, Obama's "New Government" will have control and the United States will never be the same. We will be destroyed from within.
