The Reign of George "W": The Sellout of America

The current administration at work.

When George "W" Bush took office in January of 2001 our treasury had a surplus in the trillions of dollars. Within the first 60 days of taking office he delivered all of the wealth in our treasury to his closest constituents by wind falls to the top 2% of the wealthiest and tax breaks to the oil companies.

After September 11, 2001 he unleashed more billions of dollars to help New York recover and sent troops to Afghanistan to go after the terrorists that attacked us. Within 3 months of sending troops to Afghanistan Mr. George "W" started the talk of Iraq having weapons of mass destruction and possible nuclear capabilities of which neither was true.

Mr. George "W" kept up his rant and by arrogance and "my way or the highway" style of rule kept ignoring the facts and only speculating on the realities of the time. George "W" Bush has sold America out ever since he took his oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States and lead our country into financial crisis by taking our country to war in Iraq and not having a viable plan to keep our losses to a minimum in both life and financial costs.

In the American economy itself, Mr. George "W" Bush has not done anything that has benefited ordinary Americans and has in fact made the costs of living more expensive. Our economy works its best when people have a place to work and raise their families. Under the reign of George "W" most jobs of any consequence has been shipped to other countries and the corporations that did so did it with George "W" rallying behind them in the process. Now, all of the funds ($700 billion) that were supposed to be used by the "Economic Recovery Team" to help "Troubled Financial Asset Program" or "TARP" as it is referred is no longer even being considered by the "Team" for that purpose. This seems like more of the same old type of strategies that got us in this mess to start with. They say one thing and do another and no one really knows who is pocketing the treasury funds other than the ones who get those funds.

This current reign is not helping any facet of showing what America really is in the world. The reign of George "W" must end soon. America can not any longer sustain this type of abuse to our Constitution and not be dealt with. Mr. George "W" Bush proclaims to be a "compassionate conservative" but for the entire time he held the reigns of power not even once have I seem him be compassionate or conservative. It seems more likely that Mr. George 'W' considers the U. S. Treasury as his private 'ATM'.
