10 Things Barack Obama Supporters Should Shut-up About

The majority of Barack Obama supporters are very intelligent. However, there are a few who just have everything backwards. This is intended for those who have no idea what’s going on and just like to hear themselves speak.

Disclaimer- The majority of Barack Obama supporters are very intelligent. However, there are a few who just have everything backwards. This is intended for those who have no idea what's going on and just like to hear themselves speak.

“Say no to a Dream Ticket”

Why? Senator Clinton and Senator Obama may not agree on everything, but they agree on most of the important issues. Some say Obama wouldn't benefit from having Clinton on his team; maybe you're right. However, most of the Obama supporters just can't stand Clinton and rather her not be anywhere near the White House. That is just not a good enough reason to say no to a “Dream Ticket”. Set aside your differences and come together!

“Hillary Clinton is unelectable”

Eight years ago, I may have believed that. Eight years later, I don't. The only way the Democrats lose this election is if they do it to themselves. Come on, under normal circumstances, can you actually see John McCain beating Hillary Clinton? She would have had the nomination, and still might if it wasn't for a certain fellow named Barack Obama. I'm pretty sure nobody would be talking about a divided party either. If for some reason Senator Clinton does win the nomination, smooth talking Obama can bring his voters to her side.

“Michelle Obama 2016”

Self-Explanatory.

“I've lost all respect for Bill Clinton”

Come on people! He is just doing his job; defending his wife. If the shoe was on the other foot, I would imagine that you would be doing the same thing. How many people would just sit there if their spouse is being attacked or made fun of by wearing pantsuits? Emotions are run high in these elections and at the end of the day; Mr. Bill is still human. He may go overboard sometimes, but he loves his wife and we should respect that.

“I will vote for McCain if Hillary gets the nomination”

What's your reason? I hope your reason has some substance behind it or otherwise you are just as misguided as the Clinton supporters who would for him instead of Obama. You don't have to vote for a candidate just because he/she is in the party of your choice. But being a sore loser and voting for a candidate with complete opposite view is ridiculous. Don't vote based on emotions; you will kick yourself for it later.

“I won't vote if Clinton gets the nomination”

Go ahead and be another statistic. I'm quite tired of our elected officials ignoring what we have to say. In order for them to listen, we have to give them a reason to listen. Please Vote! Not only that, vote for the candidate who you believe will be the best President, not one you would rather “hang out” with.

“Florida and Michigan should count”

I'm not saying that they should but why disenfranchise million of voters? They had nothing to do with the decisions their elected officials made. I believe they deserved to be heard; it's just how they will be heard. The only fair way to do it is to revote. That way all the voters who skipped the first time around because they knew their vote wouldn't count, will get out their and vote. Since that's not happening, it's no telling how those votes will be counted. But I do wish certain Obama supporters would stop saying that these people shouldn't have their voices heard!

“I have lost respect for John Edwards because he hasn't endorsed Obama yet”

The Senator dropped out before Super Tuesday and allowed Obama to stay competitive. What more does the guy need to do? That helped Obama more than his endorsement would have done. You see, it's not enough for some people to get an A in Physics. They want to get an A and have it announced to the entire student body. I'm seeing the same thing with some Obama supporters. Be grateful that John Edwards dropped out when he did, or otherwise Obama might not be in the position he is in now.

“All Hillary supporters are racist”

Can anyone not vote for Obama and not be a racist? Amazing as you might think Obama is, some people just won't like him. I'm not saying that a good chunk of Hillary's supporters aren't back country hicks that spit and chew tobacco, but some don't agree with Obama's stance on certain issues. Point blank. Everyone won't like him so get over it!

“This country is going to completely change once Obama takes office”

Don't mean to rain on your parade but it won't. Our troops will still be fighting in Iraq, there won't be universal healthcare, college will be expensive, companies will still be outsourcing, and the KKK will be alive and kicking. Don't expect things to all of a sudden change just because Barack Obama is in office. If anything, it will be a gradual change. So gradual that you won't even know. For instance, do any of you remember that places like McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, etc didn't use to accept credit/debit cards? It was a few years ago when they started but it seems like they have been doing it forever. My point is that I'm not saying Barack Obama won't change this country if he gets into office, but it won't be as fast or the way most people seem to think.
