In the last couple of days, Democratic Presidential nominee Barack O'bama has suffered considerable attacks in any reference to John McCains's VP selection, Sarah Palin. How ironic? No one gave it the slightest thought when Hillary Clinton was in the political arena vying for the Democratic Presidential nomination. Now why is that? The GOP had nothing to say. Hillary Clinton came under attack but there were never any major rhetoric about her being a woman. Is the GOP in fairyland?
Now that the GOP has ‘gotten on the bandwagon' they decide to be so finicky about any simple political jokes veered towards VP elect Palin. I know the female voters are far more intelligent than that. We see right through this. It is just another one of the GOP's swift-boat tactics to sway voters to be sympathetic to VP elect Palin. If she cannot bear the brunt of basic attacks in this political arena, I suggest she jump ship immediately! All Americans who know politics; more importantly women voters can sense when someone is playing on emotion. If they would like to submit themselves to that level, than they will not win in this political season.
The American people are poised for another GOP move as in John Kerry's candidacy in 2004. My suggestion to the GOP, prep your candidate for these sorts of attacks. In addition, change your political playbook. Everyone knows in politics that you will be subjected to such scrutiny. Further, the pendulum cuts both ways; if John McCain can use the political joke,' lipstick on a pig' than so can everyone else. Caution: Sometimes when you apply the standard to others and make yourself immune; then it comes back to bite you in the rear-end!
