Debate Mccain Vs. Obama

A recap of the first presidential debate of 2008.

Overall, Barack Obama had a hard time with John McCain on some issues, but he overall won the debate on Friday Sep. 27, 2008 in the first international debate. It seems as John McCain has contradicted himself in the "We need a change" slogan, because he agrees with George W. Bush 90% of the time. Barrack Obama also made a good speech on the United States 500 Billion dollar debt and said that " It will take more than 4-8 years to get the debt under control." John McCain, is a sole supporter of the Iraq war and says that the war would have been better handled if more troops had been sent into Iraq in 2003, to handle the terrorist attacks in Iraq.

Barrack Obama stated that he had been against the Iraq war when George W. Bush first stated to send in troops to Iraq. John McCain said that he wanted to decreas the dependence on foreign oil, and increase the sub-petrol vehicles on the road in all of the US. Barrack Obama clearly stated that the debt of the US on the spending of foreign oils was going to get worse before it got better. Overall, in my opinion, Barrack Obama outlasted John McCain, but has to be stronger on the debate of foreign issues.
