Who saw this happening few years ago a stunning black guy running for president, and an unknown woman in pole position to be likely vice president if McCain wins. The much awaited US Election 2008 is serving what is turning out to be a battle royale. Forget Bush and Gore 2000, this is juicier than desperate housewives and more unpredictable than 24. If the prime time adverts slots were to be sold they would out cost the super bowls'.
Ever since Obama picked Biden as running mate, there had been a buzz of likely running mate from Mc Cain one of them being Romney. But then a trademark SHOCKER came from McCain he chose a conservative lady from Alaska. Even the democrats were in awe. Where did she come from this newest iron lady of US politics? Now what, the democrats might be thinking. The what aspect, is the swing vote. One Hillary Clinton pushed Obama all the way to the end of the nomination race it was clear she wanted Obama to know that I got my staunch followers too ready to “die” with me. Ignore me for running mate at your own peril. Those so called disgruntled Clinton backers are worrying the Democrats powerbrokers. Reason, there are several millions of them, and could tip the boat McCain's way.
To add insult to injury for Obama it's the Sarah Palin's factor the newest babe in US politics. She is a woman who is really endearing, smart and a fighter. Those Clinton backers still pissed that Obama ignored Hillary as running mate might be swayed by Miss Sarah's all American Momma persona and vote McCain come November. Let's not get personal and discuss her teenage daughter's pregnancy. Nonetheless you can't ignore Sarah Palin she got me too, but I am Kenyan and can't vote. That is not good for democrats' perceived popularity tide.
As for Biden, well he has been chosen because of his' so called foreign policy experience lets see. Is he really a plus for the Obama campaign votes not really? Same way McCain might have seemed had he gone for a predictable pick for Vice President. So it would be right to conclude the battle for the US Election 2008 pits Obama versus Sarah Palin and the other two guys McCain versus Biden. Sarah is in Obama's age group and Biden can take gin with McCain and discuss the good way old days. So it's a role reversal here, the more things change the more they remain the same. So, where is the change, two Capitol Hill veterans and two fresh political stars, one is running for president the other is running mate. Try think about that in role reversal aspect.
Lately, McCain is not making a buzz its Sarah doing it. On the Obama camp it's him generating the entire buzz not the…what his name again... Joe… Biden. That's why come November and the results are out. Trauma counselors should be on stand by in all US Counties with rehab ambulances coz for the losers it will be a hard pill to swallow let alone stomach.
So if you are a US senator and reading this, ensure you pass a legislation that will ensure every county in America has trauma counselors on stand by after results are out and to prevent rogue anger mismanagement.
