This presidential nomination is getting pretty feisty! Hilary Clinton, a senator representing New York, or Barack Obama, a senator representing Illinois? The country is almost divided in half (theoretically speaking) between the two candidates. Obama stated recently, in a conversation about Hilary, “My attitude is that Senator Clinton can run as long as she wants. Her name is on the ballot. She is a fierce and formidable opponent, and she obviously believes she would make the best nominee and the best president.”
But that doesn't mean that everyone does. Obama has taken the lead in the caucases, leading Hilary by a landslide. The populace obviously doesn't totally agree with Hilary about her running for president.
As we took to the streets, we asked people what they thought.
“Is the United States ready for a woman president?”
“I think we're ready for a woman, I just don't believe that Hilary is the right one,” stated 23-year old Jack Repositer.
“Yeah, we're ready, just as we're ready for a Black president. It all just depends on whether the candidate is the right one,” Candice Mastra, age 34 pointed out.
It does depend on the candidate. With all of this heat between the democrats, John McCain doesn't seem to be getting very much publicity. This year it's going to be a close race.
