The purpose of this piece is enlightenment. There is something I don't understand and am looking for someone who can give me an explanation.
God accepted animal sacrifice from Able, but not grain from Cain. Cain murdered his brother out of jealousy. Cain therefore was the first murderer, and in return received what's known as the Mark of Cain. It's not specific as to what the mark is, so unfortunately it 's open to interpretation. Cain is banished from the rest of what was creation at the time. In some Hebrew texts he had children with Lilith, who was Adam's first wife. Lilith was rejected by God and Adam, and Cain was the first murderer. So, that made their descendants demonized. Whether Lilith was involved or not, they would pass on the mark of Cain. Hitler, Nazis, the KKK, and other racist groups use the Mark of Cain to explain why they are superior and Jews and minorities are damned. They use dark skin or the star of David as representative of the mark.
Here's where I start to lose my understanding. God flooded the world to rid of wickedness. The good, Bad, everything and everyone died except for Noah, his family, and the animals he took with him. The ones with the Mark of Cain were surely part of this extinguished wickedness. My first question would be whether Noah and his family was white or black. All depictions show him as undeniably white, although that doesn't always mean anything. Jesus was also depicted this way. Either way, either Noah and his family had the mark or didn't. As far as I'm aware there has never been a black person born from white parents or vice versa. If everything else died and Noah family were the only living humans, logic tells us that everyone after that point in time either has the mark or doesn't. Any racism then, becomes something not worth talking about since everyone is the same. There still is an unanswered question…
Well if there never was anyone born from another race and Noah's family was white, then where did the different races come from? Creationists teach against evolution and adaptation. Even if this was the factor, from the flood until now would be thousands of years. This is simply not enough time for adaptation to take place. A believer in evolution feels that the different races are a result of man's adaptations to the different parts of the world. Therefore no race is superior than another, as their ancestors were just part of a different environment. What is the creationists answer? After Noah, there is no mention of the creation of more men. So where did they come from, if we are all descendants of Noah?
