Nomination War Strategy

With the closing of the nomination race exit strategy is important. Obama may need to focus more on early entry strategy.

The smoke from battle field campaigning is starting to clear on the Democratic side as Clinton's reality approaches. But are her advisors suggesting an exit strategy or are they allowing her to remain focused on the prize? Also, which prize is she aiming at, being president or vice president?

Obama's campaign has the right idea going after McCain early. With gas prices climbing and the economy still on the brink, it is wise to challenge the Republicans on their policies and past mistakes. In the event the Clinton camp throws a curve ball at Obama in the late ninth inning, Obama better stay focused on the gold- McCain. At this point there's no room to play battle of the wits with Clinton, just let whatever trivial taunts roll off.

If Obama keeps the claim of Democratic winner, ignores Clinton, challenges McCain to public debate and perpetuates union of the party he'll be fine in August.

The best strategy, however, would be for Obama to support the voters in Florida. While he is campaigning there for general election support, he should side with the argument that their primary votes count. Go ahead let Clinton get her share, forget about Michigan, but most of all secure the trust of Florida's voters.
