So, how does CNN think Palin did in her one and only shot to show what she's really got in a controlled setting?
The headline: “No fireworks, knockouts in VP Debate”. Are they lost or out of their minds? Or does CNN just not want to admit the obvious (i.e. that Biden killed Palin when it was a clear opportunity for Palin to show her stuff).
According to Kevin Neugabauer, a salesman and CNN contributor, “They (this guy can't even get his words right) were both okay. With Biden's experience, he should've buried Palin. He didn't do that”. Man, this guy is as out of touch as the Republicans this year because Biden clearly buried Palin, according to polls.
Arielle Amao, a longtime democrat, had an even more obnoxious opinion: “if it were just her, I could see myself voting that way”. Is she really a democrat? Is her last name Amao or LMAO?
Democrat Mark Friedrichs, an insurance underwriter from Orlando, Florida, a key battleground state (this is where Bush won the 2000 presidential election), expected fireworks and claims that there were none and was therefore a disappointment: “Nothing happened. The whole thing, it felt so staged and rehearsed. I was bored out of my mind. I guess (that) it was a tie overall, but I don't even care because it was just a waste of time. What a disappointment”. What do people not understand? How can this guy say that this debate was an overall tie? It was only boring because Palin didn't know what she was talking about in that debate and overall, for that matter.
Democrat Dave Keller, a first time I-Reporter from Glendale, Arizona: “I think (that) both candidates did what they needed to accomplish. I really don't think (that) anybody's minds were changed by it. We certainly learned concisely (about) what the positions were fore ach candidate, which might help sway undecided voters”. What did Palin accomplish? Hardly anything (or more precisely, almost nothing!)
Republican Jarrett Wood said that he was definitely voting for Obama and that Biden was the clear winner: “He was definitely vice-presidential, if not presidential while Palin was not that. Palin was very much the opposite. She looked like she was trying too hard, she spent a lot of time using rhetoric and I probably heard the word "Maverick" about 300 times in this debate”. So, although Wood is a Republican, it seems as if he will vote for Obama and this is critical (i.e. which candidate can get more voters of the opposition to vote for him?)
Arturo Navarro, Chula Vista, California: “I think (that) Sarah Palin did a decent job, but some of her answers were not very good. The only answers that Sarah Palin had were where she agreed with Joe Biden”. OK, so Palin did a decent job, but she only did well when agreeing with Joe Biden? Not promising. In a debate, you should find out where you are stronger than your opponent.
Finally, Chuck Burkhard was rather indifferent: “I'm just a frustrated American. I want them to stop fighting and get something done for us and not themselves”. If Burkhard is sincere, he should vote for OBAMA & BIDEN BECAUSE THE GOP IS OFFERING FEW SOLUTIONS, ESPECIALLY WITH A BOMBASTIC PALIN.
