Republicans: 1984-2007

What the Republican party was like then and now. A must read for every party.

In the 1984 presidential elections Ronald Regan won by a landslide. He had gotten the electoral votes of forty-eight states. It was one of the greatest victories for Republicans in American history.

But now, though, Republicans are the lower of the two parties. For almost twenty years the Republicans held moat of the seats in the senate. But now the Democrats do. And many people are thinking why. Why has our party lost so much power?

Bush. Nobody likes him or fallows him in anyway. The Democrats don't like him-and the Republicans dislike him even more. His first four years he was seen as a great leader. But now, there is talk of him being the worst president in American history.

And sadly, the Democrats will most likely win the 2008 elections. And I think that Bush is most of the cause of it. And this war in Iraq doesn't help either. At the beginning of the war the people were happy with it.

But now-the very word "Iraq" can cause a riot. I hate to say it but…Bush has ruined any change of a Republican victory in 2008. Most people would rather vote for a monkey that can count then vote for a Republican again.

And if a Democrat is elected our country will be in the shadows for four years. Then people will know that Republicans are better in the long run. 2008 to 2012 will be the worst years of our lives.

Vote Republican. Save our country.

Please read my article here, "Republican Party needs a facelift"
Republicans have not earned their spot in the minority with their bloated government and corruption. Unless they return to the conservative principles, including, but not limited to the ones I outlined, they are doomed to the minority party and may disappear entirely. McCain who is a Republican half the time, may win the White House, but Republicans are doomed for Congress. Democrats may even get to 60 in the Senate.
