The world is a very dangerous place, some would say. Einstein said that the most fundamental question we have to ask ourselves is, “do we live in a friendly or a hostile universe”? His belief being, that, all we do is colored by this one overarching consideration. Will Rogers said, “to a man with a hammer, every problem looks like a nail”. For those in the camp that believe the universe to be essentially hostile, or one could assert, primarily evil, it must be frightening to consider the desperate helplessness of not being tall hog at the trough. How futile to find oneself incapable of clawing to the apex of a dangerous, hostile, evil food chain? Such must be the plight of Jihadists. Those wretched souls, whose only hope is the solace of knowing that God is sending you, imagine, sending you to destroy the infidels.
Yes, it must provide a great deal of comfort to know that God will guide and protect you from the evil, hostile universe in which you live and that all you need do is employ the tool, the one tool, the inevitable solution to all the problems, difficulties, adversities, controversies, the foolproof resolution to the complexity of international relations, religious extremism and social discordance. The HAMMER. Oh! the blessed hammer! The hammer of military superiority is, apparently, in Sarah Palin's opinion the tool of choice in her Jihad. Jihadists are engaged in holy war. God sends Jihadists to destroy infidels. How comforting to know that you have a hammer when God calls and yes, oh yes, somewhere there is a nail.
These are the words of Sarah Palin
“pray for our military... our leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God... there is a plan and that plan is God's plan”
It is somewhat surprising to hear a Vice Presidential candidate from the United States of America speaking in favor of Jihad, but, a war that is God's plan can be little else. We are accustomed to hearing Radical Muslims speaks of Jihad, but, how brave of Sarah Palin to expose her own Radical Muslim beliefs in this expression of Jihad at such an early time in her introduction to Americans at large. This surely must be evidence that Gov. Palin's radical religious beliefs are bringing the world together in ways none of us could have ever imagined. This is truly a landmark coming together of cultures and a blessing to realize through Sarah that religious wars are OK! and nothing to be ashamed of.
I do wonder, however, if any old radical, lunatic fringe religious concept that one might choose to believe in, or, make up, could possibly find said adherent at odds with Sarah's political hammer when God sends the afore mentioned Radical off on a mission that looks a little too, well, essentially hostile, or one could assert, primarily evil to Sarah's sensibilities.
