I would have never thought that our country would have an African American President. I remember when Jesse Jackson ran for president and did not make the final cut. The media tore him apart. He was never really given a fair chance.
Now here we are in 2008 and we have a woman running for Vice president. What if Sarah Paylin had won with John McCain? The reason McCain did not win was because of his age. People thought he would die and Sarah would be President. I would not have minded having a female for president. When you really sit and think about it; black,white,male,female it really does not matter. You are voting on how the person that is running for office will run our country.
Obama has 4 years to show us what he has got. I think he is going to do a great job. He has the values that we need in this country. I do see Sarah Palin or some one of her gender in the White House with in the next 12 years, give or take a few.
So next time you hear the word "Never" spoken in a crowd, just laugh. We all know that never was not the case in this years election. You go America!
