Senator Clinton Takes New Hampshire

My thoughts on Hillary Clinton winning the New Hampshire primary.

Well, Senator Hillary Clinton did it. She had an emotional break and guess what, It did what a lot of the male chauvinistic pigs thought it wouldn't. It showed she has a great strength to show she emotionally wants to win and win big. She won New Hampshire. Just think what that means. People care about her. They know she is electable, know she is a good hearted person, and know she will make a great president.

I'll admit it I want her to win. I want it to go down in the history books that even the US can elect a woman president and nothing bad happens. That you wake up the day after her inauguration and you have universal health coverage, there are plenty of jobs and we are riding around in, if not fuel efficient cars, hybrids. At the end of her presidential term I hope we will be driving hydrogen powered cars. I want a President who listens to people and not just go off and do whatever they want regardless of the consequences.

I wrote a letter to my local newspaper, the Staten Island Advance, saying I was for getting rid of Saddam Hussein because we were all led to believe he had weapons of mass destruction. I thought and the rest of the public thought he would give them to terrorists. I thought the war would be over fast. I didn't realize it would turn into the mess it did. That is why when primary day comes April 22nd to Pennsylvania, my new home state, I will vote my heart. And it is leading towards Senator Clinton.

True, by then the outcome for who will be the democratic nominee may be known by the number of delegates won, but I still want my vote to count for something. I have said before I don't believe Senator Obama is electable, that being said, I know a lot of people will still vote for him because he is likable. I don't think he can run the country and get things past in Congress like a veteran senator like Clinton can. She knows the right people can get legislation through the congress and will unlike other presidents sign it into law.
I am proud of my former, home, New York State Senator Clinton. I wish her the best in the fight to come in major states, hope that she wins, and the past 7 year nightmare finally comes to an end.
