So What?

The presidential primary election has stirred controversy from every sector of the nation.

Will anyone be able to ascertain the diversity of feelings about this 2008 presidential election for it is certain no one has ever seen anything like this before or may ever again. What makes this process even more incredible is that most people did not at first particularly care for any of these candidates and their views, yet they have drawn out more voters than any previous primary election and may probably break all records for the number of voters whom come to the polls for the general election in November. It is almost guaranteed a new section will be included in American history and audiences around the world stand ready to watch it being written. Who will be the Democratic candidate between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, and who will come out victorious between John McCain has this nation in anxiety as never before seen.

Fear also mounts with the anticipation of this historical event. This election has been so politically and racially intense, some have heard people speak of being afraid of violent outbreaks throughout the country and even heard mentioned a "race war". Though it is highly probable some unstable and anti-social fanatics may attempt to execute their rages upon some of the mass and they may even cause a little havoc and get some national attention, but with whatever they do and what may happen, the majority of the people will stand up for the values they hold dear, a nation free especially from tyranny. As the fore-fathers of this great nation once said, “We hold these truths to be self evident, all men (and women) are created equal…” Most people really believe what they said and believe this is the place to enact those beliefs.

So the United States may possibly be thrust into a tailspin because of the outcome of the primary and general elections. Some people may be angry and upset and some greatly bruised. Yet as with any bruise swelling follows and with a healthy body the hurt will eventually heal. The strong bond which exists between every citizen of this nation may be stretched near the boundary of its capability, but it will persevere and as a result become stronger. The United States people must work through the complexity of their diverse differences; there is no getting around it, as this election so emotionally sets precedence.

While these are historical times, let this nation be remembered historically as having strength in its resiliency. Also, may the people never forget this nation still stands because of the sacrifices for dreams they and their ancestors held for a place they could fulfill the hopes and aspirations for themselves and their families in this nation of America. No fool or groups of fools can ever be allowed to throw away at a fit generations of lives mingled in the soil of the United States.
