1. Tell her you love her every day. Tell her in the morning. Tell her during the day, if possible and tell her in the evening. A soft, lilting voice is usually best. A woman cannot hear the words I Love You often enough.
2. Kiss her often. The best way is to gently hold her cheeks and give her a gentle and loving smooch. However, a peck on the forehead, cheek or neck will suffice. Also, kissing her hand is very chivalrous and romantic. You should kiss her at least three times a day, more depending on the nature of you relationship. You do not have to say anything. Just a gentle kiss will let her know you care.
3. Be her best friend. By this I mean listening to what she has to say and responding with a positive and meaningful attitude. Take her for a walk on a moonlit night. Just be there for her when she feels like venting or wants to talk about whatever is on her mind. Be attentive, because if you forget what she said and she asks you about it later, you will regret it.
4. Bring home a small gift at least once a month. Every other month is acceptable, but wait no longer than two months. It does not have to be expensive or big. If she collects something, bring her an addition to her collection. A small teddy bear, a necklace, anything that you know she will treasure will be just fine. Once, I went to a local florist and they gave me ten small I Love You cards. I added a witticism to each one and hid them around the house where I knew she would eventually find them. It took her a month to find them all and she loved my idea.
5. Ask her how her day was. This is very important to a woman. She wants to know that you care what she went through every day. Whether she has a job or stays home to take care of the house or kids, she is always working hard, whether you realize it or not. Listen to what she has to say and be compassionate with your response. If you really don't care, you had better pretend like you do.
6. Do little things around the house. If something needs fixed, then fix it. If she wants a room repainted, paint it. When a woman asks for you to fix or repair something, she means now, not when you feel like getting around to it. Also, help out around the house. Take out the trash. Vacuum a rug. Sweep the floor. Do the dishes. Make the bed. Clean a room. A woman truly appreciates a man who is willing to take the time to help out whenever needed.
7. Be romantic. This is a big one. A woman needs caressing and fondling before making love. It's not all about you. Take the time to do the little things that you know please her. How your relationship works depends upon how the two of you respond in bed. That is your personal business. Do not be a minuteman. Take as long as she likes for you to please her in every way that you know how. Buy her lingerie that you know she will like. Be gentle and kind and caring. If she wants to jump your bones and be done with it, let it happen. Sometimes that is all a woman wants, but in a situation like this, let her make the first move.
8. Give her time for herself. If you truly love and care about her, let her have as much time as she needs to relax in any way she wants. My wife loves taking long bubble baths. This will also give you some time to yourself. It is very important to a woman to have this time to get her head together and let the emotions of a rough day wear off.
9. Never ever forget Valentine's Day, her birthday or your wedding anniversary. Make it a special occasion. Bring home flowers, chocolate and a card. Take her to a nice restaurant or cook her a special meal. The attention to be paid to this rule cannot be understated. If you forget one of her special days, you are an idiot and you will hear about it for a long, long time.
10. The woman is always right and you are always wrong. This is the most important rule of all. A woman wants her man to be strong, protective, upstanding and caring. Although you may think differently, you are sadly mistaken. If a disagreement or argument begins, nip it in the bud as quickly as possible. The best response is you are right, honey. If you can't say that either nod your head yes or keep your mouth shut.
