I Didn't Vote for Him

A tongue-in-cheek piece about nobody claiming to have voted for Eliot Spitzer.

"I didn't vote for him"

In the mid-90's, Warren Morris stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the night with the LSU Tigers behind the Miami Hurricanes by one run in the College World Series. He promptly launched a Robbie Morrison offering into the right field seats to give the Tigers a bottom of the ninth, walk off home run victory.

The Baton Rouge paper did a survey asking around town how many people saw the blast in person. Something like 35,000 said they saw it. The problem is that Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha only holds around 20,000!

What's my point? Elliot Spitzer was elected to be governor of New York with 70% of the vote. That was margin of victory that set the record. You ask around New York today ... NOBODY voted for him!
