This political cartoon analyzes one of the major issues in American politics that is present for years. |
- The cartoon was drawn from the Democratic perspective
- In this cartoon, the artist was trying to emphasize the continuous absence of Republicans in the minority-affiliated debates. In this cartoon, Barack Obama stands for a debate against Republicans; however he notices that no candidate from the G.O.P is present. Further, he finds out that no one was present because the Republicans had a "scheduling conflict'. The artist tries to explain that the Republicans constantly avoid minority-affiliated debates in the presidential campaign by finding excuses like having a "scheduling conflict".
 - I agree with the artist because, throughout the years the Republicans have proved to be anti-immigrant and not pro-minority. The Republicans often tend to avoid questions that have to do with minority or immigration in their campaigns. I think that this constant avoiding of minority-affiliated debates can cause a negative impact on their election.
