Beijing Unveils the New Airport

Beijing unveiled the new airport in preparation for the 2008 Olympics.

China is planning to increase its number of airports up to approximately 239 by 2020. Recently, the constructors have finished building one of the world's biggest airports in Beijing. They have increased the number of airport terminals in preparation for the Olympics that are going to be held in Beijing. The terminal consists of a huge dragon-shaped building with lots of gates, 3 ΒΌ kilometers in length. Six airlines including British Airways have begun using the new terminals and the first plane landed on the airport at 8: 37 AM on February 29. They are expected to open more terminals for the other airlines from all over the world soon.
