Schoolgirl Plans to Marry Her 50-Year-Old Lover

Tale of a schoolgirl who set up home with her teacher.

Sixteen year old school girl Jessica Anderson, who set up home with her fifty year old Religious Education teacher is now planning to become his fourth wife, as soon as she turns eighteen. Even without the support or blessing of her friends and family, pretty Jessica insists that she wants to spend the rest of her life with the now former teacher and rubbishes claims that she ha been brainwashed.

Apart from the obvious age gap issue (which can also be a bliss in some relationships), my concern is that this young girl, who is an outstanding academic pupil and should be exploring her young adulthood - is taking on too much baggage. This man has three ex-wives, two children (one of which lives with the besotted couple) and because of the controversy of her relationship, probably hasn't got anyone she can voice any fears or doubts too as she is too busy trying to prove that she's doing the "right thing". Personally, I can't see the relationship working myself, she's barely on speaking terms with her parents who are naturally devastated at this union, and being young, it's just as easy to fall out of love as it is to fall in love. I just hope that if that is the case, they break up before Jessica becomes wife number four. If I'm wrong, and this relationship is their destiny, then I sincerely wish them a lifetime of happiness.

Who said religious education and it's tutors were boring!

When Charles Chaplin married Geraldine, he was 55 (more or less) and she was 17 years old.
It is true that the difference of age is a problem, because of the backgrounds of both of them that are so different, I agree with you on that, but love has no age, I have a cousin in Italy that married a woman 10 years older than him, and in the Bible, Ruth get married with an older gay, also Mary, mother of Gesus is just 12 years old when get married with Joseph, a widow older than 30 years.
Don't get me wrong, I love your article, and I agree with the difficulties of this event.
Even, I think that he is in love but she is not, she think she is but there is the possibility that all she wants (unconsciously) is to get out of her home and be free, or maybe she is infatuated with sex, has psicological issues with her father or who knows.
16 is an early age to know if our love will last or is just a childish fantasy.
On the other hand, I repeat, love has no age at all.
Remember Ruth?
My applauses for your work, hugs and kisses

She's human, she'll work it out. Would love more facts - places, names and the likes. Seems anecdotal.
