San Antonio: Weather and Climate

This morning our temperature in San Antonio will drop into the upper 40s. Tomorrow morning the low will be in the lower 40's with several days to follow in the 40s. Our highs these days will be in the 70s. After that a gradual warm up will take place with lows in the 50s and highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. I think this cool snap here could possibly be our last of the season.

I don't see our temps falling into the 30s anymore and days with lows in the 40s will be fewer and maybe non-existent after this cool snap.

That means the heat is coming. We have already had one day with a high in the lower 90s. There will be much more to come.

We are also dry. We have not had much rain since last year at this time. Our aquifer level is around 685 feet which is pretty good. Since all the rain we had early last year the aquifer has gone up and stayed up nicely. It went to 700' which is almost a record and then has drifted down slowly. Even without much rain the level of the aquifer should stay above the 750 foot mark, which is where restrictions begin to take place.

So we are somewhat dry and getting warmer. Last year we did not have any day where the temperature reached 100 degrees. I don't think that will be the case this year. I do hope I am wrong.
