Ok guys here we go, the latest scam out there is of course about the “stimulus package” from the IRS. Telemarketers are calling claiming they are from the IRS looking for information to begin the process of the taxpayers rebate check. The consumer is, well, pretty excited about this “free” government go but a new car, computer, clothes whatever plan, But there is still quite a bit of confusion as to where, how, who do you call to find out where to get your cash.
The backstabbing cons are exploiting this grey area to get your money! There phishing via the governments program lake and the unknowing victims believe that this is a legitimate call. They will offer to place your funds into your bank account. If they succeed, presto, they now have your banking info! Not to mention that your identity if now trashed and who knows where your name is going to end up! We all have heard horror stories of how innocent people are still after years trying to regain there names back, some never recover.
The government WILL NOT be calling you or conducting any type of inquiry whatsoever to receive your check. The only legitimate website for the IRS is Irs , please use or update your phising software as a precaution if you plan to use the site otherwise use there 800 number. Hard working taxpayers don't need this, there are too many ways to fall into traps and this is just another sneaky, crooked, dirty example of society's criminal personality. People that you can never turn your back on, Let alone give the time of day on the phone. So please, rest a little easier tonight, you are a little safer!
