A few years ago, I received a testimony from my Aunt Irene Lim. She was migrated to live in Tacoma, Washington, USA through the sponsorship of her only daughter Judy since 1996. Upon her arrival to USA, only six months later, she was granted permanent residency and given the green card to stay with her family. In 1997, she was become a member of a Protestant church named Trinity Methodist Church. In 1998, she applied for medical and was granted with the privilege in short waiting time.
Every month the Department of Social and Health Service sends her medical coupons, which she is entitled to all medical services free of charge. Since the US government collects taxes, the government is able to manage many other organizations services such as senior citizen welfare, retirement medical expenses, and etc., which are benefited from the tax money. In March 2000, the Immigration on Naturalization Services in Seattle notified her to go to an interview for US citizenship. In June 27, 2000, she was sworn in and given a certificate as a US citizen.
When she went to Dr. Kwon for physical check-up in June 2000, she was referred to see a cardiologist. After she went through x-rays, ultra-sound, and angeogram, she was necessary to have a heart operation to correct her aeorta and to change the left side valve of her heart. By the grace and mercy of God, the operation was successful.
Even she is a jobless US senior citizen, she is also qualified for SSI. The government sends her three kinds of check-up every month. By grace and mercy, the USA becomes the land of milk and honey for her and other who were migrated there. USA is the fourth largest country of the world and divided into fifty states.
