Musician Carlos Santana is an Antichrist

On page 37 of the September 11-17 issue of the Independent (local Colorado newspaper), Carlos Santana, famous musician and guitarist, made a statement that makes him an anti-Christ individual.

In the feature at the bottom of the page, "60 Seconds with Carlos Santana," the interviewer was talking about two CDs Santana put out, "Ultimate Santana" and "Multi-Dimensional Warrior." (His other albums mentioned in the article are "Shape-Shifter" and "Supernatural")

Think about those titles in context of what Santana said when the interviewer, Alan Sculley, asked him, quote, "But you've seemed more eager to talk about the tour as a a chance to share a spiritual message than as a way to promote any album. What message do you want to bring to people with your live show?"

Carlos Santana: "My highest aspiration is to invite people, and hopefully they will accept it and become it, for them to re-establish the perfect being that they all really are. Don't buy into, "You're not worthy of God's grace, and you're a sinner and you're stained." Don't buy into that bullshit, because it doesn't serve you or God or anybody....Go with love and re-establish the perfect being that you know you really are."

So basically, to Santana, the obvious fact that all humans are fallen sinners, and God's message of grace in Jesus, is "bullsh*t."

This is a "message" that comes from Satan, not God.

Santana says that it is his *highest aspiration" is to "invite" people to "accept" this message.

This makes it sound like he's an evangelist for the devil.

Which he is.

All human beings are sinners (have you ever known a single person in your entire life who didn't sin?)

Everyone needs God's grace to have their sins forgiven.

If Carlos Santana, doesn't change his ideas and believe the Gospel, then he will, along with all other anti-Christ people, burn in eternal Hell torment because of his sins.

The Word of God judges Santana and his words, as it judges all other things: Santana is Satanic.

A School Concert

The concert kicked off at 7pm and ending at 10pm. There were more than 20 acts and more than 15 different bands, choirs and soloists both from the Epping Boys School and from volunteers. The concert was a blast. The staging was great and not one band, choir or soloist looked cramped or squished up whilst performing on stage. The lighting boys were brilliant making few mistakes if any throughout the whole three hour show! There were two main performers that stood out the most to me though. They were the Epping Boys Rugby Choir conducted by Miss Shaw and a piano soloist by the name of Scott Esplin of year twelve.

The Epping Boys Rugby Choir had a very hearty sound to their team/choir. The whole team were mainly basses and baritones which was excellent for when they sang ‘Waltzing Matilda’ and ‘Bound for South Australia’. The Epping Boys Rugby coir put on a spectacular show even managing to get the audience singing along with them in the last chorus. Who could forget Scott Esplin of year twelve. His dazzling piano skills stunned he whole audience when he performed his piece. The piece he played was so unique because not only did it have a great sound it also had electronic sounds to make it sound even better. Overall the show was a great success because not only did it fill up all the seats in the hall with happy parents and relatives it even had people standing all around the hall in great applause

Jordin Sparks Makes a Mockery of Herself at 2008 VMAs

The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards were a complete snore yet again this year. The lackluster and sub par singing was enough to put anyone to sleep; including my dog.

The awards were hosted by British star Russell Brand; a man who looks like a cross between Edward Scissorhands and Pigpen. Not only was this guy annoying and not funny, but he looked like he hadn't taken a bath since 2006.

Throughout the night, Brand made constant references to The Jonas Brothers, who have made a personal decision to wear purity rings. Brands constant “attacks” on the The Jonas Brothers didn't seem to sit too well with audience members. The “attacks” became so constant and redundant, that one would think that Brand had a secret crush on the three young heartthrobs.

Did Brand really go too far? Should he have been picking on The Jonas Brothers for a personal life decision? Should he have clarified that his comments were tongue-in-cheek? Well Pop star Jordin Sparks certainly didn't see the humor in Brand's comments.

Before introducing an award with R& B singer John Legend, Sparks had this to say in response to Brand's comments about purity rings:

"I just have one thing to say about promise rings. It's not bad to wear a promise ring," Sparks said, "because not everybody - guy or girl - wants to be a slut."

I am sure most would agree that it was great that someone took a stand and responded to Brand's comments. However, I don't think Sparks' response made the situation any better.

If one were to dissect her comment, it could be interpreted as Sparks' stating that anyone who doesn't wear a promise ring is a slut. Ever hear the adage think before you speak Jordin?

I am certain that Sparks was infuriated by what Brand was saying and implying, especially since she is indeed one of those people who wear promise rings. However, because of her loose tongue she disrespected a whole separate group of people.

Just because someone engages in premarital sex, it doesn't make them a slut, whore, pimp etc. What a person does in his or her own bedroom is indeed their business. A person should only be classified as a slut when they publicly project themselves as being loose. But then again, who are we to judge another person? None of us are perfect. People are always going to judge what they don't know. If a girl wears a dress too short, she is automatically labeled a slut. If a woman shows cleavage, she is “inviting” men to look at her in a sexual way. So what is your definition of a slut Jordin?

There is a time and a place for everything and Jordin's timing was all wrong. She should have waited until after the show to get her thoughts together and make a clear and concise comment about the situation. Not only did she make a fool out of herself, she took the spotlight away from the next award that was about to be given out.

A more powerful and safe response to Brand's comments would have been if Jordin flashed her own promise ring while saying “I just have one thing to say about promise rings." Instead she took it to an entirely different level and threw the word “slut” into the mix.

Could it have been that Sparks misspoke? Were those Jordin Sparks' true feelings? Or are we going to call this a simple Freudian slip? I'm pretty sure we will all be either reading or hearing a statement from either Jordin or her publicist apologizing for anyone she may have offended.

Let's just hope that Jordin Sparks' next CD goes platinum. If not, well I guess we'll be seeing her in the American Idol graveyard of artists who were dropped from their label.

American Idol Generates Buzz by Adding Fourth Judge

American Idol's eighth season begins in five months on FOX -- and producers are giving fans something to talk about by adding a fourth judge to the mix. Today, American Idol announced that talented, successful songwriter Kara DioGuardi will be joining ranks with Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul come January.

"Who?" may be a common question in response to this announcement, but Grammy nominee DioGuardi's work is well known, even if she is not. Aside from writing tracks for former Idol contestants David Cook, David Archuelta, Clay Aiken, Bo Bice, and Carrie Underwood, she has allowed such stars as Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Gwen Stefani, Faith Hill, Natasha Beddingfield, and the Jonas Brothers (to name a few) to give voice to her inspired lyrics.

American Idol execs feel DioGuardi will bring energy and excitement, and perhaps a bit of sass to the show, along with her songwriting credentials and obvious understanding of what works for music listeners.

Will having a fourth judge help or hurt the show's success? In season two, popular New York DJ Angie Martinez was hired to be the fourth judge, but quit a few days into the second season of American Idol. She told producers she had never actually watched the show before signing on, and she simply couldn't stand to tell someone else to give up on their dreams.

It will be interesting to see how having another judge will affect the viewers, contestants, and judges. Will having another woman help soften Simon's blows? Will she be a gentle critic like Paula, or will she be a bit tougher? In a tough industry, she is one of the most sought after song-writer producers there is. She can obviously be tough when she needs to.

Kara DioGuardi has a catalog of several hundred songs, well over two-hundred of which have been released on major labels worldwide. Well over one hundred have been released on multi-platinum selling records. As co-owner of Arthous Entertainment, DioGuardi develops and serves as a mentor to fellow writers, producers, and artists. Will her mentoring skills help or hurt her in this gig? Watch American Idol on Fox this January to find out!

Isaac Hayes Dies

Isaac Hayes, winner of a Grammy for his role in “Shaft” died 2 days ago, aged 65 from an apparent stroke. According to the Shelby County's sheriff's office, a family member found Hayes unconscious near a treadmill in his home and he was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital rough 1 hour later.

Hayes may have died from the effects of a stroke, but this is still being investigated. He made a name for himself in the "70s when he started performing disco. His career really took off in 1997 when he became the voice of “Chef”, a sensible school cook and ladies man in “South Park”.

Reacting to Hayes" death, the Rev. Al Sharpton remarked that “I am deeply saddened by the loss of Isaac Hayes, a true historic world music figure. Isaac Hayes was the first African-American to win an Oscar for a music score but never lost sight of his commitment to his community and the betterment of mankind. He was more than an artist he was a trailblazer, He was an innovator. He was a creative genius. I shall never forget how in the height of his career he still had time to work and lend his celebrity to those of us much younger and at that time who were totally unknown. Even in his later years he never hesitated to appear for a cause or endorse something that he felt was for the good of mankind. He will be sorely missed”.

Hayes is survived by his fourth wife, Adjowa, 12 children, 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Britney Spears: On the Mend and Looking Good

There were photo's published in the media this week (July 21st 2008) of pop star, Britney Spears attending a charity bash, hosted by The Mask star, Jim Carey and his partner, Jenny McCarthy. Sporting a Californian tan and a healthy glow, dressed in a hot black number, stilletos, and the trademark hair extensions, Britney honestly looked like a respectable young lady and a happiness beamed from her eyes. A far cry from the wild and crazy Britney that filled the tabloids earlier this year.

According to reports, the "new" Britney is all down to the watchful eye of her father. Jamie Spears is a former alcoholic and if he wasn't a positive influence over his daughter in her younger days,he certainly is now. After Britney's psychotic breakdown, Jamie took full control of her life, putting an end to the all night drug and booze benders, the erratic drive time cruises and keeping the "bad company" at a distance ( a restraining order is on her manager and she has supervised visits with her rumoured boyfriend, British photographer, Adnan Ghalib. This "tough love" regime has kept the pop princess away from trouble and negativity she was surrounded in, and although she hasn't regained custody of her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, she has won more visitation rights. Britney is also reported to be teaching children to dance at a Hollywood dance school.

I'm no big Britney fan, but watching a young girl, America's Pop Princess publicly self- destruct wasn't easy on the eye and it's nice to see her making progress in getting her life back together again. Whilst the media and public eagerly await her next studio comeback, I'm just happy to see her on the road to recovery. Her sons need a healthy and stable mother more than the fans need her music, but with her father guiding her it's possible she can do both.

Is Marilyn Manson Really Bald?

It is claimed that a French fan has unveiled Marilyn Manson's most closely guarded secret. The American singer and artist is well known for his outrageous music, orthodox dress and general all round anti establishment attitude.

Manson's stage name comes from a combination of his two idols: Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson, but his overall image is certainly more Marilyn than Manson with all the make-up and face paint. He is known for his long, jet black hair and pale face. He wears lipstick and heavy eye shadow and is popular for his music and Goth appearance.

At least, that's how things used to be before this video clip went into circulation. Apparently the fan tried to approach Manson to congratulate him on his success but the star was well protected by body guards.

The fan, reports say, persisted, and Manson agreed to shake hands with him. The fan hugged the star and managed, somehow, to knock his hat and his 'wig' to the ground.

At no point in this video do we get a really clear view of the face of Marilyn Manson and after the wig falls off the camera is a long way off.

This might well be the revelation of a closely guarded secret, or it could be a stand-in acting the part so that the film could be made.

Genuine, or fake?

You decide!

MTV Awards Best and Worst Dressed

If you watched the recently aired MTV Movie Awards you probably noticed how bad some celebrities dressed while others dressed very well and fitting for the occasion.

Sarah Jessica Parker who came out in order to help promote her recently released film Sex and the City, wore a grayish black dress. It was so tight that I am surprised she didn't bust out of it. With her legs separated in many photos you can see right through the short skintight dress. She wore white high heel boots that simply didn't match with the dress. They were two completely different styles. She walked awkwardly in the boots and in the dress. Very poor choice.

Rumer Willis (daughter of Bruce and Demi) showed up in everything black. Her hair was dyed black and it matched the dress and shoes she was wearing. It was a boring dress that brought her pale skin even more. It was something you wouldn't wear to an MTV award show.

Jennifer Hudson wore a white form fitting dress with a pink belt and a pink halter showing out from the white top of the dress. It was a nice dress that you could wear out on a lesser known occasion. She looked very elegant yet when she stood next to tiny, frail Sarah Jessica it looked as though Jennifer suddenly became a monstrosity. She appeared bigger since the dress was white; she was on television, and then standing next to someone that is as big as a wafer made Jennifer look tremendous.

Charlize Theron is a beautiful woman who showed off how thin she really is in one weird yet superhero type of outfit. In fact the tan colored top was really too low and emphasized her small breast size when it was actually supposed to enhance them. Her stiletto shoes were awful with the front lining and four straps to buckle. It all looked a bit odd.

Lindsay Lohan wore a purple bluish strapless mini dress that was enhanced with a black belt. This folded up dress could have made a statement but it was entirely too short for her pale legs.

Paris Hilton came in a short black and white dress. The black consisted of lace and paisley pattern while the white remained plain. It was elegant and simple. For once she wasn't over the top. The only problem was her boney feet that were very evident in her black high heeled shoes.

Why is Scarlett Johannson Singing?

I am not much of a fan of Johnansson's acting so I was hoping to like her singing. She tends to rely on her beauty more than anything and a real actress will take on roles that are a bit more challenging to her skills.

"Falling Down" is a single off of Johnansson's album "Anywhere I Lay My Head." Johansson came up with the idea to do an album based on Tom Waits songs. I listened to "Falling Down," hoping I would enjoy it, but I didn't. I was bored by her slow monotone voice and the lack of real music. The lack of arrangement in the music makes it completely hard to listen to. Johansson's voice is unbearable to listen to. She sounds as though she doesn't care about what she is doing or singing about. She seems to want to walk through her singing like she does her acting. It just isn't that easy. A real artist will love what they do and want to bring out their message to their audience. Many times a singer wants to tell you a story and it just doesn't happen here. I think there was a story trying to be told, but when you have someone singing or talking through the words with no emotion it is kind of hard to relate.

Watching the video was just as bad. It basically covered a day in the life of Scarlett Johansson and what a hard life it is. The poor girl gets up, gets in a car to go to a photo shoot, does an interview, then she is driven back to her hotel room as she stares out the car window. Could you imagine how upset she would be if she had to live in the real world? I couldn't understand where she was going with this video and it didn't seem to match up with the song.

I would not recommend listening to "Falling Down" or watching the video. It isn't entertaining to listen to or watch and is quite frankly a bore. If you want to listen to something to put you to sleep then I would recommend this song. Otherwise check out the new song "Take a Bow" by Rihanna if you want to hear something worth your time.

Gerald Pitts: Let Jim Morrison Rest in Peace

In 1971 the world either mourned or celebrated the death of Jim Morrison, famed and infamed lead singer of The Doors. Years later, questions still loom over his premature demise and new "evidence" suggests the Electric Poet may not have died in that tub in Paris some 30 years ago.

Is it a hoax or is Morrison just another one of those phantoms among us that we miss so much we can't help but hope he's just faking his death, awaiting the perfect opportunity to emerge from self-imposed exile and reclaim the stage he abdicated so many years ago?

Personally I believe Morrison is dead, but there is supposedly certain "evidence" that supports
those that believe he's still alive.

There was a man,not long ago (in about 2000 or so) that made a startling claim,
that if true would rewrite one of the most talked about legends in music history.
I will elaborate on that later in this article but first here are the facts we do know,
James Douglas Morrison was facing charges in Miami just prior to his death,

The one person who could say for sure if Jimmy is alive already stated he was dead.
The person is Pamela, she was the last one to see him alive, and she joined him in death,
in April of 1974. For argument and the skeptics sake though, let's just assume a minute
that good ole Jim is alive and kicking....somewhere.

Why then would he let Pamela off herself by ODing on Heroine? I don't believe he would've.
If Jim were alive,Pam would be too and they'd be somewhere enjoying Life,Love and each others company.

Getting back to what I mentioned previously, there was a man who claimed in 2000 or so that he, was in fact Jim Morrison. The man that made that claim had been living as a cowboy and even started a website which claimed he was authentic.

The man claiming to be Jim was "discovered" living in the Pacific Northwest, of all places, on a ranch. "Jim" was discovered by a man named Gerald Pitts.
Personally, I think Pitts and the alleged "Jim" only made the claim for publicity.
Gerald claimed Jim drank "Bud"beer, anybody who has researched the real Jim more than superficially knows that he drank Scotch, not beer.

Secondly, Why, if this was Jim would he disappear totally for some
thirty years and then "re-emerge" on some rancher's hazy home movie camera? come on.
