Yesterday, as soon as my husband came from office, he was jumping with excitement and wanted to show something to me on
You Tube
. I was wondering what on earth would have turned him on this much. He was talking to me about the
'Miss USA 2007'
beauty contest. It was really a surprise to me, because he is not of the kind who is interested in these sorts of contests. He opened a link in you tube and asked me to keenly hear to what one of the Miss USA contestant was saying. It was
Miss South Carolina 2007. She was answering the question which determines the contest winner. At first, I was horrified. I started to laugh out loud. I couldn't control myself. It was the most irrelevant and the most absurd answer to that question anyone could have ever thought. That moment I had the heartiest laughter.

But then, when I again listened and watched the video, I really felt sorry for her. Personally I felt that she was the most beautiful person among the finalists and had more chances to win the title if she had answered the question more logically. When you put a second thought to it, you will really feel the pressure she was undergoing. With more than a million people watching, and being one of the finalist representing her state, it was her defining moment. Anyone in her state would have been tense and nervous. I am not defending her for the answer she gave, but I am on her side defending what made her to deliver that answer in front of the judges, audience and the viewers without thinking. It is so very obvious that she was not in her senses when she answered this question.

In addition to that, I was really surprised when she came once again on the National television defending her "blunder". I really admire her confidence and her attitude to accept her mistake in front of the whole world. It really takes "guts". She answered the question again, but this time her answer was perfect. She had answered the question in just the way all her supporters would have expected her to. Probably she was the only one who went through intense pressure before, during and after the competition.

After all 'To err is human' and knowing that we must appreciate her confidence of accepting her mistake. Way to go girl! With this strong attitude in life, success is always on your side.
