Swiss voters have passed today a new amendment to the constitution covering paedophile crimes. Following the tough approach adopted already in 2004, they passed the amendment against the wish of government and parliament.

President-elect Obama's stimulus plan is deeply flawed. The plan proposes massive infrastructure spending and subsidizing wind and solar energy construction projects. These targeted spending directives are economically inefficient and will likely cost rather than create new jobs. There is a much better way to stimulate economic activity: across the board lowering of tax rates.

In a few months, the anti-Proposition eight citizens of California will bring Proposition eight to the Judiciary branch of the U.S. government. Should the Judiciary vote "No" on Proposition 8, it will be diminished. I strongly believe that this will be a mistake on the part of the people living in California.
